EV charging

Ready by morning, cheapest way possible.

Tell Wattlark when the car must be ready. It finds the lowest-cost window, uses surplus sun when there is any, and shows the saving against charging at the evening peak.

What it does

Charging window chosen against day-ahead price.

Four behaviours, each visible in the app and recorded in the household activity log.

Ready-by scheduling

Set a target charge and a departure time. Wattlark works backwards to the cheapest window that gets there.

Solar surplus first

On sunny days the car can take the energy that would otherwise be exported at a low credit.

Cost shown every time

Each plan shows its cost and the cost of plugging in at the peak, so the choice is visible.

Household aware

Members can override a plan for one night; the owner sees every change in the activity log.
